Swiss Broadcast Channel SRF Uses eyevis Technology on the Set of a Leading News Magazine Show

EYE-LED-2.0 Displays Deliver the Images to the News to Viewers of 10vor10

An eyevis video wall was recently installed in the studio of Swiss Broadcast Channel SRF and is now showing the images to the news to viewers of the German-speaking news magazine show 10vor10.

18 EYE-LED modules with 2.0 pixel pitch were selected for the project in Studio 10 after a successful demonstration and camera testing from technology and production center switzerland ag (tpc) in Zurich. eyevis technology was chosen because it provided colour fastness and the wide viewing angle without moiré. The demonstration was conducted by eyevis in cooperation with the Swiss distributor Videolink AG and production company tpc.

Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen (SRF; English: Swiss Radio and Television) is the largest electronic media house of the German-speaking Switzerland and a business unit of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation SRG SSR.

Displays Offer Proven High-Quality Image Processing

The high-resolution LED-EYE 2.0 modules demonstrate eyevis high quality image processing for demanding applications. Thanks to the high resolution (2 mm pixel pitch), the professional image processing and the robust housing the LED modules are ideal for permanent installations.

They are especially effective in environments with difficult lighting conditions such as television studios and provide an adjustable display with high brightness and detailed image content. Thanks to the minimal pixel pitch the viewer experiences an overwhelmingly sharp image, even from a very close position. This effect is further enhanced by the lack of any disturbing bezels.

eyevis Modules Form an Essential Part of the Studio Set Design

Fabio Devescovi from Videolink AG said: “As a leading broadcast distributor in Switzerland, we are convinced that the reliability and quality of eyevis LED modules are ideal for this project. The LED wall forms also an essential part of the studio set design.”

Gérard Koch from tpc added: “image stability, colour fastness, excellent service and support assistance whenever an issue arises were important decision criteria for us.”

Dieter Steffen, Sales Manager at eyevis said: “eyevis provides only the highest quality components and we are delighted to have been chosen for this project by tpc. Besides a high pixel density our LED modules convince with low operation and maintenance costs, high life span, highest reliability, brilliant colours, precise light control and high brightness.”
